Last Trip To Southern California

Okay, despite the title of this post I will probably be making other trips to the Southern California area, however this is my last time heading here for awhile. Last night I arrived to hang out with some great friends from college and today a few of us are cruising to the beach. I’ll be here for the next week just hanging out with friends an Allison. I’ll update more later.

A friend of mine just told me about a cool site, made up of a bunch of artist who post their music online for almost free, asking for just whatever donations they can get. You can pay only a dollar and get a whole CD or tell three friends about the site and get stuff for free, at least thats my understanding of it I’m still looking into it but its worth looking into. Some names are bigger than other, but still in my mind a cool idea and definetly worth checking out. The site is noisetrade.com I also put a link at the bottom of my page. On a somewhat related note this is one of my favorite videos ever. Some have even gone as far to say this is a great example of following Christ, Watch and enjoy.

Beards, Bears, and Nephews

So, I know its already been two weeks sense my last post, and I feel this urge to post all that has happened in this time, however for your benefit and mine, I’ll keep it real brief. Here are the highlights in no real order. First off I finished up camp with a bang, all summer I sought to see a bear in his natural elements. One night I finally succeeded and even hit him with a rock trying to scare him away, but that was childs play compared to the adventure I had on one of the last nights of camp. To make it real short I went for a walk late at night by myself, (not a good idea) and ended up seeing a bear scratching his back against a tree, apparently he didn’t like my interuption. Therefore as I stared to look for cover he got on all fours and ran at me as I jumped up and grabbed a ladder and pulled myself up as he ran under me. Obviously I left out many details however if you would like the full story feel free to contact me, I assure all of you that the tale is real and very exciting.

Anyways here is a brief summary of the rest of my life the last few weeks: I grew out my attempt at facial hair for about three weeks and then proceeded the last night of camp to shave it along with my friend wesley into a horribly beautiful mustache for our last night out as a staff. I then made the raod trip with four guys out to Vegas for my week with the family (hence the nephews in the picture). While here I have got to hang with all the family, and also found out that I will have the opportunity to live out my adolesence for a little while longers as I wont be traveling to San Fran for another extra week making my arrival around the 30th of August. So… I avoid the real world a little while longer, which I’m perfectly okay with despite my excitement for the move and what God has in store up in the bay. Last but not least for updates I took my brother Mike out for some bowling the other night and destroyed him scoring my all time best 189 it was unbelievable (had to brag). I have much more to say as far as my plans, what God is showing me, as well as book updates on some winners, but I’ll leave it at this for right now.

What This is All About

This creation of this site has been a delayed by various excuses and, to be honest, out right laziness on my part, but finally I have exhausted my excuses and started what will hopefully be one of many blogs. One of my major motivations behind this site is the fact that in three weeks I will be moving away to the San Francisco Bay area, a place where I can count the number of people I know on my hands, and starting what will God willing be my career. Thus leaving just about everyone I know and love, and being that I don’t happen to do well with keeping in contact with people, this is my attempt to change that fact. I “plan” on writing in this at least once a week, key word being plan. Whether it is what’s happening in my new location or just random thoughts on life, I want to keep those I care about informed.

As a starter I am currently finishing up my last week of working at a summer camp, Ponderosa Pines Christian Camp, up in Big Bear California. I’ve been working as a M.C./ Head Councilor type figure, and loving it a lot. I’ve got to meet and hang out with some amazing people, see Allison almost every weekend, and see God do some great things in Junior High and High School students lives. After the week is finished out I will be heading home for a week to Vegas, Come back down to Orange County to hang out with friends and Allison for a few days, and then I am yet to figure it out but moving me and my stuff up to the bay area and joining on staff at CPC, central peninsula church, working with student ministries and in some facet or another helping to build there new multi site. So that’s the quick basics, but more to come later, if you guys are reading this, two things, one thanks for taking an interest in my life and second I would love it if you would be praying for me as I move on to this new part of my life.
